Our donor promises

  • No card details on this website

This Donor Privacy Commitment supplements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. It does not replace them.

01

Our commitment

Youth With A Mission Cap-Haiti (YWAM Cap-Haiti) values the trust of every person who supports our mission.

This Donor Privacy Commitment explains how donor information may be collected, used, protected, retained, and shared. It applies alongside our general Privacy Policy and does not replace it.

Gifts are not processed on this website at this time. No payment provider is connected, and this website does not create or store donor or transaction records. When a giving platform is connected, this page will be updated before it is used.

02

Information we may receive

Depending on how a donation is made, YWAM Cap-Haiti may receive:

  • Donor name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Mailing address
  • Donation amount and date
  • Gift designation
  • Recurring-gift status
  • Communication preferences
  • Recognition or anonymity preferences
  • Limited transaction identifiers
  • Information needed for acknowledgments, accounting, reporting, or legal compliance

If a gift is made through an authorized third-party giving platform, that provider collects the payment information needed to complete the transaction under its own privacy and security terms. The specific provider, the exact information it collects, and the information it returns to the ministry will be described here once a platform is connected and confirmed.

If you contact us about giving through the contact form on this website, we receive the details you choose to provide in that form and store them securely so a member of our team can respond.

03

How donor information is used

Donor information may be used to:

  • Process and acknowledge gifts
  • Issue receipts or giving statements
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Honor appropriate gift designations
  • Communicate about a donation
  • Respond to donor questions
  • Manage recurring gifts
  • Maintain donor preferences
  • Share ministry updates when requested or permitted
  • Prevent fraud and maintain security
  • Fulfill accounting, reporting, and legal obligations
  • Improve donor care and stewardship

Donor information is not used for materially unrelated purposes without appropriate notice or permission.

04

When information may be shared

We may share limited donor information with trusted service providers or authorized ministry administrators when necessary to:

  • Process a donation
  • Deliver a receipt
  • Maintain accounting records
  • Operate donor-management systems
  • Provide technical or communication services
  • Complete audits or professional reviews
  • Comply with applicable law
  • Protect donors, the ministry, or others from fraud or harm

YWAM Cap-Haiti is the international Haiti expression of Empower Nations and part of the global Youth With A Mission family. Where relevant, certain administrative, financial, or ministry-support functions may be coordinated with Empower Nations or another authorized ministry partner. The specific role of any organization in receiving, processing, receipting, or administering a gift will be named here only once that role is confirmed by ministry leadership.

Service providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their assigned services.

05

Donor lists

YWAM Cap-Haiti does not sell, rent, or exchange donor names, contact information, or giving records for unrelated marketing or commercial purposes.

Necessary processing by authorized service providers or affiliated ministry administrators is not a sale of donor information.

06

Anonymous giving and recognition

Where available, donors may request that a gift not be publicly recognized. Requests may be sent to our team through the contact form or by email.

A request for public anonymity does not necessarily prevent the ministry, a payment provider, a bank, an accountant, an auditor, or a government authority from maintaining the information required to process a gift or comply with legal obligations.

We do not publicly display a donor’s name, donation amount, photograph, story, or testimonial without appropriate permission.

07

Payment security

Donations, when a giving platform is connected, may be processed through an authorized third-party payment provider under its own privacy and security terms.

YWAM Cap-Haiti does not store complete payment-card or bank-account numbers on this website. No payment fields exist on this website and no payment data is transmitted to or held by it.

A link to the payment provider’s privacy and security information will be published here once a provider is connected and confirmed.

08

Donation records

Donor and transaction records may be retained as reasonably necessary for:

  • Accounting
  • Receipts and acknowledgments
  • Audits
  • Donor services
  • Fraud prevention
  • Financial reporting
  • Legal and regulatory compliance

No fixed retention period is stated here. A specific schedule will be published only after the ministry formally adopts one.

Recurring gifts, receipts, and giving statements — where they exist — are managed through the authorized giving and administrative channels of the ministry rather than on this website.

09

Donor communication choices

Donors may ask us to:

  • Update their contact information
  • Change communication preferences
  • Stop receiving nonessential ministry communications
  • Request public anonymity
  • Access or correct qualifying donor information
  • Explain how their information is handled

Transactional messages, receipts, security notices, and legally necessary communications may still be sent when required.

Every newsletter or fundraising email includes a working way to unsubscribe.

10

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards designed to protect donor information. Information submitted through this website is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in a protected backend that the public cannot read.

Access is limited to authorized individuals who need the information for donation processing, accounting, donor care, security, reporting, or ministry administration. Administrative access to this website is protected by verified sign-in.

No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we do not promise absolute security.

11

International processing

Because YWAM Cap-Haiti works internationally, authorized donor information may be processed or accessed in Haiti, in the United States, or in another location where verified ministry partners and service providers operate.

Website submissions are handled by our hosting and database services, which may store or process information outside Haiti.

12

Changes to this commitment

We may update this Donor Privacy Commitment as our ministry, donation systems, technology, or legal obligations change.

The “Last updated” date is revised whenever changes are published.
