It has been 17 days since we made the decision to have our non-Haitian personnel evacuated from Haiti. The leadership of YWAM Cap-Haiti has been working diligently to maintain everyone's safety. This has proven extra difficult for a few situations with having two of our teams trapped within a city called Saint-Marc, due to the main roads being blocked on all sides with riots. Thankfully they were in a safe compound of another YWAM base, but the best and safest is to get them out of the country. With all the roads being blocked with riots and protests, the only options were to either wait for a cleared opportunity to drive them to an airport or to have them helicoptered out to the nearest airport. We were hoping this weekend there would be a break in the protests so we could get them to the airport in Cap-Haitian or Port-au-Prince. Praise the Lord Sunday the roads were cleared and everyone was able to get out safely!
